Why the UW?
“As a former student, I’ll say that the UW was the place where I got to reimagine, explore, and embody everything I thought was possible for myself as a first-generation Vietnamese-American woman. I experienced firsthand how to find and build community with other students and mentors who shared my identities, my passions, and academic interests. I deepened relationships – both new and old – that have supported me personally, academically, and professionally even after graduation. The connections you create here are long lasting, and are a huge reason why I want to return and give back the mentorship and support that I received!”
