Admission to majors overview

Join us as we dive into majors and admission to the UW! Some majors (such as computer science and engineering) are in high demand and require that you indicate them as your first-choice major on your freshman application. Others have more capacity and can accommodate all students who request them.

Understanding which majors are open, which have minimum requirements and which are capacity-constrained will allow you to make an informed decision about your major.
