Question: What's something fun a visitor can do while they're in Seattle?

Malikah says: Anytime someone comes to visit me, I always take them to Gas Works Park! There's such a beautiful view of the Seattle skyline and it's so close to campus. I've also gotten some great photos there in the day and it's also an awesome spot for a picnic!

Nate says: My favorite thing to do in Seattle is eat at Red Mill Burgers in Phinney Ridge. 12/10 would recommend.

Nicole says: I visited a lot of colleges, but I didn’t feel like any college had everything I was looking for until I visited UW. While I wanted a school with a strong business program, I also wanted to continue doing theater in college and try out a lot of different activities. There were so many ways to get involved both on and off campus at UW, and I loved how dynamic the student body was. The beautiful campus definitely didn’t hurt either.

On the other hand, here on campus I like to find new places to study, so far my favorites have been Allen Library and in the dorms with all my friends

Justin says: My favorite place to study on campus is the Life Sciences Building! It's a beautiful, modern building with practical study spots for both groups and individuals, a full-fledged cafe, and a patio to enjoy those days when the sun decides to visit campus.

Graham says: Every Friday night before football games, the Husky Marching Band dresses in crazy costumes and has a pep rally/parade throughout Greek Row which culminating on the steps of Suzzallo Library on Red Square. It is an incredibly fun and high energy experience and really hypes students up for gameday!

Danika says: Visiting ByGeorge café from 10pm-1am is a must! They have amazing smoothies, doughnuts, coffee, and there is almost never anyone there; definitely one of the most underrated places on campus!

Zahra says: My top suggestion for a visitor in Seattle is to visit the University of Washington Waterfront Activities Center down by Husky Stadium and rent a canoe/kayak. From there you can explore the arboretum, lake union, and lake washington!

Maya says: Take the light rail downtown, get off at the international district and go explore Chinatown. Specifically, go to Uwajimaya.

Nae Nhae says: Something you can do in Seattle is taking a paddleboard and going onto Lake Union to enjoy the sunset on a warm day. Or getting a picnic blanket and soaking up the rays on the hills of Gas Works Park whilst enjoying a nice cold glass of lemonade. That would be my ideal Saturday in Seattle!

Peyton says: Visitor - Underground tour of downtown! Seattle is a city built on top of another city and there are tours that will take you underground and tell you a lot of really cool history!

Renee says: My favorite place to study is in Allen! On the first floor there's a lot of white boards and large tables that you can you use, I usually go there when I am studying with my friends. If I am just studying by myself I'll go 2nd or 3rd if I want to study in a quieter environment. Allen is also really close to Starbucks, so I don't have to go too far for a coffee break!
