Favorite Place on Campus
Suzzallo Library. Its sprawling 350,000 square feet of open, inviting space offers countless cozy corners to explore. There’s something irreplaceable about a physical book that a screen can never match. The Children’s Literature and Map Collections are among my favorite sections of the library.
Favorite Place off Campus
My ideal escape is anywhere in nature, and one of my favorite day trips is Bainbridge Island. The journey is easy—take the light rail to the waterfront, board the ferry, and step off into beaches lined with towering cedars and Douglas firs. In summer, I bike to Fay Bainbridge Park for mountain views, then head to Founders Court, where pickleball was invented.
- Why the UW?
- “As a member of the MOR team and a resident of the U District for over 20 years, I am excited to be part of such a dynamic academic community. The University of Washington stands out for its intellectual rigor, commitment to mutual respect, and high ethical standards. The diverse student body, representing a broad spectrum of cultures and perspectives, further enriches the community, making the UW an inspiring place to grow both academically and personally.”
