Favorite Place on Campus – It’s a tie between the Quad and the Suzzallo Reading Room. I think the Quad is gorgeous year-round, and a great place to meet with friends and people-watch when the weather is nice. The Suzzallo Reading Room is a beautiful and inspiring space, perfect for an hour or two of intense studying.

Favorite Place off Campus – My favorite place off campus is Seward Park. The park is on a densely forested peninsula, and once you’re on the trails, it’s hard to believe that you’re still within Seattle city limits! There is also an amphitheater, picnic areas, tennis courts, a swimming beach, and on clear days, an incredible view of Mount Rainier.

Why the UW? – During my undergraduate years, the University of Washington challenged me to grow both academically and as a person. I made lifelong friends, took classes I still think about ten years later, and made memories I will cherish forever. The UW fosters an environment where students can explore their interests, find their community, and build academic and professional connections that will last a lifetime, and I am excited help guide the next generation of Huskies!
