Spring quarter transfer admission

U.S. students

Spring quarter is only open to applicants to specific departments in engineering and computer science. You may apply for spring quarter only if you are also applying for spring quarter direct entry to one of the programs listed below.

Open to new transfer students for spring quarter only:

  • Bioengineering
  • Chemical Engineering

Open to new transfer students for spring and autumn quarters:

  • Bioresource Science & Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Computer Engineering

How to apply for spring quarter.

  • The online application is closed.
  • Because the programs open for spring admission are direct entry, you must also submit a departmental application to the program; consult the MyMajor tool for deadlines.

International students

International transfer applicants who are already in the U.S. and who meet department admission requirements may apply for admission for spring quarter only if they are also applying for spring quarter direct entry to Bioengineering or Chemical Engineering. Admission to the UW for spring quarter will be contingent upon direct admission to one of these programs.

How to apply for spring quarter

  • The online application is closed.
  • Enter Bioengineering or Chemical Engineering as your requested major. No other majors will be considered for spring quarter admissions. 
  • Because the programs open for spring admission are direct entry, you must also submit a departmental application to the program; consult the MyMajor tool for deadlines.
