Tuition and Fees
What do these tuition figures mean? Figures presented here are for full-time enrollment, that is, 10-18 credits per quarter. (We know it's confusing, but for purposes of financial aid eligibility, full-time is defined as 12 or more credits.)
When is tuition due? Tuition is due quarterly by Friday of the third week of the quarter. To help you and your family with budgeting, review the payment schedule.
How much is it per quarter? Residents pay $3,449 per quarter. Nonresidents pay $9,277. For more information about Washington State residency policies, consult Understanding Washington State Residency.
Room and Board
How much is it? The Office of Student Financial Aid uses a figure of $9,771 in determining students’ financial need. This figure includes food, utilities, and housing. It is higher than the figure charged by Housing & Food Services (for double-room occupancy and preferred dining allowance) because it includes the cost of meals not covered in the campus dining plan.
What is the schedule for paying on-campus room and board? For students living on campus, room and board is paid quarterly. The first payment, approximately $3,100, is due on September 1 for autumn quarter, except for financial aid recipients, who pay after aid is dispersed.
Universal U-Pass
The Transportation category includes $228 per year ($76 per quarter) for the Universal U-Pass, which is charged as a mandatory fee to all students.
