- “As a Coast Salish Native American, I wanted to pursue higher education in State so I could stay in this beautiful place. The UW was always one of my favorite colleges due to its visibility of Native Americans and other underrepresented minorities through sports, academics, art, or events like the UW Annual Spring Powwow. The experience UW provides to its students is one of a kind, whether through research potentials, leadership and professional growth opportunities, or the ability to join the many communities on campus. As an Admissions counselor and former student, I want to see you come and succeed at UW! Skodawgs!”
