1 A minimum of 75 credits applicable to graduation, with a minimum 2.50 GPA in prerequisite chemistry and biology courses.

Recommended courses

2 The first microbiology course for the majors is MICROM 410, taken after the student has completed introductory biology and organic chemistry. MICROM 101, 301 and 302 (courses most commonly offered at community colleges) may not be used toward the graduation requirements for a degree in microbiology. To graduate in four years, the student must complete introductory biology and organic chemistry before autumn quarter of the junior year.
