Academic Planning Worksheet: Education, Communities & Organizations

Preparation for your intended major is a factor in the review of your UW transfer application. Use this worksheet to help you plan for admission to your intended major and for UW general education requirements.


Department admission information

This major is capacity-constrained. Completion of prerequisites does not guarantee admission.

Admission is based on the following criteria:

  1. Satisfactory progress toward completion General Education requirements; minimum 45 credits
  2. Completion of the following course:
    1. EDUC 280 (minimum 2.0 grade)
    2. English composition course (minimum 2.50 grade)
  3. 2.50 minimum overall GPA
  4. Submission of a personal statement indicating interest in the major

Applications are due October 15 for winter quarter start and April 15 for autumn quarter start. Depending on program capacity, applications may be considered after the deadlines.
