Department admission information

This major is capacity-constrained and admits early autumn and early spring quarters. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
  • A minimum grade of 2.0 in each of the following courses: MATH 124, 125, 126 (or MATH 134, 135, 136), and AMATH 301
  • Successful applicants typically have over a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA in courses listed
    above.
  • Transfer students must be enrolled at the UW before applying to the major
  • Students are welcome to meet with an adviser before applying
  • Applications will be available twice a year. Deadlines are 5 pm on the 2nd Friday of autumn
