Office of Admissions

UW just for summer

Summer quarter enrollment is open for students wishing to take classes as a non-matriculated student for the summer term only. Non-matriculated students admitted for Summer Quarter are not degree-seeking students and are permitted to register for classes during the summer term only. Students admitted as a non-matriculated student for Summer Quarter will not be able to continue studies at the UW after summer quarter unless they have been offered admission to a degree program.  For more information on summer quarter admissions and requirements, contact the Summer Quarter office.

International students who already have a valid student visa and I-20 are welcome to join the UW for summer quarter as a non-matriculated student. Explore the wide variety of courses offered summer quarter and take classes at a world-class university. International students who do not have a valid student visa and I-20 for study in the U.S., are not eligible to take courses during summer quarter. Undergraduate Admissions cannot issue I-20’s for non-matriculated summer quarter enrollment and we are unable to provide visa assistance for those seeking summer quarter only enrollment.

Applications for international students wishing to pursue short-term study during the academic year (September-June) will not be accepted unless you are enrolling through the UW Study Abroad office on an exchange program with a partner institution.
