Departmental admission is based on academic record, a portfolio of creative work, statement of interest, and other application materials. Contact the department for application materials and detailed information on admission, prerequisites and required coursework.
Application deadline: Complete applications are due by 5 p.m. on the first day of spring quarter for the following autumn quarter.
Non-UW students may register for the prerequisite course (L ARCH 300) and recommended prep courses (L ARCH 322, 341, 352, 353, 361, 363) as a non-matriculated student through UW Professional and Continuing Education.

Notes:
To apply to the BLA program at the start of spring quarter, students will need to have taken the prerequisite course and a minimum of 70 credits of general education coursework. Students looking to complete the degree in seven quarters should complete all departmental general education requirements prior to starting the degree. L ARCH 300 and LARCH courses not required within the BLA program may count in the general education requirements.
