Summer quarter enrollment is open for students wishing to take classes as a non-matriculated student for the summer term only. Non-matriculated students admitted for Summer Quarter are not degree-seeking students and are permitted to register for classes during the summer term only. Students admitted as a non-matriculated student for Summer Quarter will not be able to continue studies at the UW after summer quarter unless they have been offered admission to a degree program. For more information on summer quarter admissions and requirements, contact the Summer Quarter office.
International students who need an I-20 to take classes at the UW as a non-matriculated student for summer quarter only, should review the additional requirements and information for international students. The Office of Admissions does not process immigration documents for summer quarter only enrollment. You will need to work with the Summer Quarter Office and International & English Language programs for immigration documents to attend summer quarter at the UW.
Applications for international students wishing to pursue short-term study during the academic year (September-June) will not be accepted unless you are enrolling through the UW Study Abroad office on an exchange program with a partner institution.
