All new freshman and transfer students must satisfy an English language proficiency requirement upon enrolling at the University of Washington Seattle campus. All applicants should review the English language proficiency requirement so they will know what to expect when they enroll at the UW.
For U.S. applicants, proof of English language proficiency is not an admission requirement.
However, international applicants are required to submit minimum test scores to be considered for admission. Please refer to information about the admission process for international students.
