A Student Quote

For me, Seattle means “access to everything.” It has an awesome downtown scene, lots of outdoor activities, and excellent public transit. It’s diverse, both in the people who live here and in what you can do, and overall it’s a beautiful place to live.”

Seattle’s nickname, “The Emerald City,” isn’t significant just because there are lots of trees, but because it’s a city that doesn’t stop. To choose Washington is to choose Seattle, a city in which you can satisfy most any food craving, indulge most any pastime. From the four professional sports teams to the ten major art and cultural heritage museums to the eighty-five theatre companies and eighty live music clubs, there is something for everyone.

Seattle is the most "unwired" city in the U.S., as Wi-Fi reaches far beyond cafes and libraries into laundries, ferry boats, airports and entire neighborhoods.
