The application provided here is a PDF, which stands for Portable Document File. The PDF application is not a way to submit your application electronically, but it is a free and convenient way to:
- get a copy of the UW application as quickly as possible;
- keep a copy of the completed application for your records.
This application is for Transfer Applicants only.
Technical Requirements
To view PDFs you need:
- Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or newer. If you do not have this software, you can download Acrobat Reader free of charge.
- Ability to print from your computer, with a minimum 600 dpi (dots per inch), ideally 1200dpi.
Follow These Easy Steps to Apply to the UW
- Download the 2010-11 Transfer Application.
- Complete an Academic Planning Worksheet for your intended major and, if you determine it’s necessary, your backup major.
- If you have not chosen a major on the application, you must choose from one of these six academic areas of interest:
Pre-Biological & Environmental Sciences
Pre-Health Sciences
Pre-Humanities (e.g., English, Foreign Languages)
Pre-Computing & Engineering
Pre-Physical Sciences (Chemistry, Physics)
Pre-Social Sciences (e.g., History, Economics, Psychology)
It is still necessary to complete a General Education Academic Planning Worksheet and discuss your educational goals in your personal statement. - Follow the 2010-11 Application and Personal Statement instructions. A handy checklist for completing your admission file is included.
- If you have not chosen a major on the application, you must choose from one of these six academic areas of interest:
- Send your completed application to the University along with the application fee and other supporting documents, as detailed in the instructions.
- Make sure you sign the application form.
- Mail all forms and documents, including the Academic Planning Worksheet(s), by the admission deadline to:
