Mark Your Calendar

The University of Washington accepts new international student applications for either summer or fall quarters. The admission standards are exactly the same for either quarter, so please choose the quarter that is best for you and your academic situation.

January 15 Final Closing Date

Two students discuss in front of charts.

The application closing date for international freshman, international transfer, and international postbaccalaureate admission is January 15, for either summer or autumn enrollment. This deadline applies to all international applicants, even those who are attending school in the U.S.

All required application materials must be mailed and postmarked by January 15. Application materials mailed from outside the U.S. must have a postmark date on or before January 15 and must also be received by the Office of Admissions no later than January 30.

Under no circumstances will late applications be accepted. It is the responsibility of the applicant to verify that all required admissions materials have been submitted by the application closing date. As a courtesy, if time permits before the deadline, the Office of Admissions will notify applicants of missing documents. Students who submit applications close to the deadline will not receive this notification and should be sure all documents have been submitted.

Summer Quarter

Students seeking nonmatriculated (non-degree) status for Summer Quarter only should contact the Summer Quarter Office for more information or a summer quarter application
