Send Test Scores

Scores from ACT or SAT are required for admission. Test scores are valid and will be considered only if they are sent directly from the testing agency to the UW. Test scores reported on high school transcripts will not be considered.

  • Freshmen applicants who graduate from high school in 2006 or later must submit scores either from the new SAT or from the ACT with Writing.
  • Freshmen applicants who graduated from high school before 2006 may submit scores from any one of the following: ACT, ACT with Writing, SAT, new SAT.
  • Students unable to provide test scores may include, along with the rest of their application file, a petition to be considered without scores.
  • When students submit scores from more than one sitting of the same test (for example, March and October SAT) or scores from the SAT and ACT, the highest combined score from a single test date will be used. The best mathematics score from one test date will not be combined with the best verbal score from another test date.

Applicants for Autumn 2009

We expect test scores to be on file no later than January 15, 2009. To ensure consideration, be sure to make arrangements with the testing agency as soon as possible.
